Why organise a PSSM course in your municipality?

The mental well-being of all citizens is a key priority, and municipalities play a key role in raising awareness and managing mental health problems at local level. We encourage you to invest in Mental Health First Aid, an essential programme that trains your municipality to recognise and respond to the first signs of mental health problems.
Mental Health First Aid provides immediate support for people in psychological distress, while waiting for professionals to intervene. These courses are an effective way of creating a more inclusive and caring environment in your municipality. They help to:

• Raising public awareness of the most common or disabling mental disorders and the importance of a rapid and appropriate response.
• Breaking down taboos around mental health by encouraging open discussion and support.
• Train local "referents" capable of intervening sympathetically and effectively in the event of a crisis.
• Strengthening social cohesion, by promoting a collective and supportive approach to the challenges of mental health.

How can you organise a PSSM course in your municipality?

1. Submit your inquiry
   Once received, we will contact you to discuss and finalize all the details together.
2. Select the date, format, and language
   We tailor the sessions to your needs: daytime, evening or weekend courses, depending on the availability of your participants and our instructors. Courses can be given in Luxembourgish/German, English (currently only PSSM Standard) or French, on-site or online as a webinar, and we will contact you to work out the details.
3. Encourage participation
   Call on your constituents to sign up and take an active part.
4. Register participants
   Once the registrations have been collected, register them on our training management platform. Participants will automatically receive an e-mail containing all the important information about the course.
